i am currently a resident of a larger retirement community. who would have thunk:) sadly, amy and i moved out of the apartment on belmont at the end of october and the new place i was going to move to wasn’t available yet. where to go? well, as a favor to my mom and step-dad i agreed to stay here @ leisure world for the next 2 weeks and to use that time to go through all of Betty’s things just in case she squireled away $100,000 somewhere. all of my worldly goods (except a few pairs of shoes, some of my exciting business causal attire for work, and my toothbrush) are squished into the corner of my parents garage.
Soooooo… only one night as a squatter and i was already caught. last night i snuck in after 10pm, brushed my teeth and washed my face in the dark….lest the smallest beam of light break through the blackout curtains and alert one of my 50 new, nosey neighbors as to my new found residence. this morning i got up, showered quickly, literally got dressed in the dark and tried to sneak out the front door before the sun came out. and there she was! corinne. the neighbor right across the way. she was standing at her window. how did she know?!! how long had she been standing there?!!! long story short she is really nice and promised she will not squeal.
